2. What Is The PMC NLE Registration Schedule 2023?

 The NLE Registration for the 2023 sessions is now open. Applicants can choose from three test sessions: December 2021, March 2022, or June 2023.

3. WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for NLE?

To be eligible for the NLE, candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized medical college. 

Candidates who have passed the NLE will be issued a registration certificate by the PMC, which will allow them to practice medicine in Pakistan.

The eligibility for NLE are:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of dental surgery(BDS)

 The candidates must have a valid primary source verification of their final medical degree from the World Directory of Medical Schools

The new PMC includes the medical council with all other relevant bodies such as academic boards across countries that decide on standards regarding practice within their fields.

4. How to apply for Admission?

The AMC application form can be accessed online through the NUMS website. The form must be completed and submitted along with all required documents before the deadline.

In order to apply, students should visit the numspak.edu.pk website and select an application link to apply for the MBBS/BDS seat at the medical college of their choice.

Clicking the link to the NUMS website will allow you to download the admission form.

In order to register with CNIC/NICOP/Passport, students must have an email address as well as a set password.

To fill out this form physically, download and print it. This form should be filled out completely and should also have your thumb impression on it.

Note that the CNICs must be identical to those used by students in NUMS Entry Tests held on the date mentioned.

All admission applications must be submitted online. Candidates are advised to choose MBBS or BDS carefully. Under the NUMS and College Policy, MBBS and BDS admissions will be granted based on merit.

Students cannot change their program after it has been saved online.

5. What Is The NLE Passing Criteria?

To qualify for an NLE exam, you must pass the Exam with 70% in both theory and clinical skills. 

You will also be required to demonstrate 3 mandatory stations on your certificate from this examination

  • The first is called “Theory” which covers topics such as medical Terminology/ symbolism used during procedures or surgeries; anatomy necessary for diagnosis 
  • Secondly, there’s Clinical skill testing – Which includes demonstrations using patient simulators so doctors can see what their work looks likes when performed correctly. 

6. What Is Passing Statistic Of NLE 2023?

A total of 1470 students took the NLE Step 1. The examination was successfully completed by 1160 students, representing a pass rate of 78.9%.

The National Licensure Examination Step 1 (NLE) pass percentage was 78.9%. This means that nearly four out of five test-takers passed the exam.
