    2. What Is The PMC NLE Registration Schedule 2023?

     The NLE Registration for the 2023 sessions is now open. Applicants can choose from three test sessions: December 2021, March 2022, or June 2023.

    3. WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for NLE?

    To be eligible for the NLE, candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized medical college. 

    Candidates who have passed the NLE will be issued a registration certificate by the PMC, which will allow them to practice medicine in Pakistan.

    The eligibility for NLE are:

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
    • Bachelor of dental surgery(BDS)

     The candidates must have a valid primary source verification of their final medical degree from the World Directory of Medical Schools

    The new PMC includes the medical council with all other relevant bodies such as academic boards across countries that decide on standards regarding practice within their fields.

    4. How to apply for Admission?

    The AMC application form can be accessed online through the NUMS website. The form must be completed and submitted along with all required documents before the deadline.

    In order to apply, students should visit the numspak.edu.pk website and select an application link to apply for the MBBS/BDS seat at the medical college of their choice.

    Clicking the link to the NUMS website will allow you to download the admission form.

    In order to register with CNIC/NICOP/Passport, students must have an email address as well as a set password.

    Please fill in the undertaking of your form after completing this form. It can be downloaded from the website.

    Applicants must take a printout of their application form after submitting it online.

    To fill out this form physically, download and print it. This form should be filled out completely and should also have your thumb impression on it.

    Note that the CNICs must be identical to those used by students in NUMS Entry Tests held on the date mentioned.

    All admission applications must be submitted online. Candidates are advised to choose MBBS or BDS carefully. Under the NUMS and College Policy, MBBS and BDS admissions will be granted based on merit.

    Students cannot change their program after it has been saved online.

    5. What Is The NLE Passing Criteria?

    To qualify for an NLE exam, you must pass the Exam with 70% in both theory and clinical skills. 

    You will also be required to demonstrate 3 mandatory stations on your certificate from this examination

    • The first is called “Theory” which covers topics such as medical Terminology/ symbolism used during procedures or surgeries; anatomy necessary for diagnosis 
    • Secondly, there’s Clinical skill testing – Which includes demonstrations using patient simulators so doctors can see what their work looks likes when performed correctly. 

    6. What Is Passing Statistic Of NLE 2023?

    A total of 1470 students took the NLE Step 1. The examination was successfully completed by 1160 students, representing a pass rate of 78.9%.

    The National Licensure Examination Step 1 (NLE) pass percentage was 78.9%. This means that nearly four out of five test-takers passed the exam. 

    7. How will NLE 2023 be structured?

    The NLE Syllabus involves B.B r not contraindicated in D.M, Asthma, or COPD ( Except Active bronchospasm),

    What Is FMGE

    FMGE stands for Foreign Medical Graduates Examination. It is a test for foreign graduates who want to practice medicine in Pakistan. It’s not a part of the PMC NLE exam, so you don’t need to worry if you didn’t get an FMGE rank in the PMC NLE result.

    The FMGE exam will be held after the announcement of the PMC NLE Result 2022, and those who wish to take it can apply online on its official website.

    After passing the NLE exam and registering with the PMC, you can practice medicine in Pakistan. You will be allowed to practice for a certain period of time after that. You can become a doctor in Pakistan after passing the NLE exam.

    Is It Necessary to Take the NLE Exam

    If you’re wondering whether or not it’s possible to become a doctor in Pakistan without taking the NLE exam, the answer is yes.

    In fact, you will still be able to practice medicine and get a license to do so if you don’t take the NLE. You will just have to apply for this license through another process called Pre-Registration Examination (PRE).

    It’s worth noting that PRE was introduced as part of PMDC’s effort to introduce postgraduate medical education in Pakistan. This means that doctors who want to practice medicine in Pakistan after completing their MBBS degree must first sit for PRE before they can begin practicing as physicians.

    There will still be exemptions available, but they’ve been changed slightly. The previous system of “NLE exemption” has been replaced with a more streamlined process.

    The main difference between the two is that the new NLE exemption system allows candidates who have completed an optional course and achieved a minimum grade to qualify for an exemption. 

    The candidate previously had to submit documents such as transcripts of previous institutions, along with letters from teachers or employers at their current schools to prove their eligibility for admission or selection.

    Why the New Process Takes So Long for NLE Result 2022

    The new process is a more rigorous process. The old system was that candidates were simply called up to appear in PMC NLE Exams, without much information about how the exam would be conducted or what the questions would be. 

    This led to many candidates falling short of their requirements because they were unable to prepare themselves accordingly. However, with our new system, all candidates are given ample notice so that they can prepare themselves adequately and work on improving their skills before taking part in the examination. 

    The new process will also help us ensure that only highly qualified professionals are appointed as civil engineers in Karachi and other cities under this program.

    Eligibility Criteria for Examination

    Progressing in your medical career requires you to take exams and meet requirements. To be eligible to sit for the PMC NLE, you must have:

    • A valid license from any medical council of Pakistan or abroad, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a physician.
    • A degree from an accredited university. It can be a bachelor’s degree or higher, but it needs to be accredited by AIIMS-Lahore (Allama Iqbal Open University) or by NED University (National Education Data Bank). In some cases, these certificates may not be needed if your certificate is already listed in their database.

    PMDC NLE Exam is compulsory whether you study in Pakistan or any other country. NLE stands for the National Licensing Examination by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.

    All those graduates who are currently in house jobs or will appear in house jobs can do house jobs without NLE 2023 but after the completion, the house job must clear the National Licensing Examination to get permanent registration.

    NLE Step 1 date: 20-27 August. Pass marks 70%. Can be taken from centers outside Pakistan as well.

    1. The first NLE will be conducted in August for Foreign graduates.
    2. 2nd NLE will be conducted somewhere around Nov-Dec, and local graduates will also be allowed to give this 2nd NLE.
    3. THE PASSING PERCENTAGE FOR NLE WILL BE 70%.
    4. NLE will be conducted a minimum of 2 times and up to 4 times annually.
    5. The syllabus of NLE for MBBS graduates is finalized while that of BDS graduates will be finalized later.

    PMC NLE 2022 Examination

    Students can move the foreign to Pakistan, After completing the 2 years of the degree.

    1. The authority shall at least twice a year as per the schedule approved by the Council conduct the NEB to
      assess and oversee the assessment of the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional
      attributes of students who have partially completed a medical and dental program in
      a foreign institution and are seeking transfer to admission in a medical or dental
      College in Pakistan.
    2. Any student who has been enrolled in a medical or dental institution or college outside Pakistan and has completed more than two years of the program may seek transfer and admission to a medical or dental college in Pakistan subject to qualifying the relevant standard of the NEB for the prescribed period of each program of study pursuant to which the student shall be qualified to obtain admission in the immediately subsequent year.
    3. A student shall be required to take the NEB within twelve months of having left his program of study outside Pakistan in order to be eligible for admission to a medical or dental college in Pakistan.
