    Selection Procedure

    Army Medical College’s selection procedure is a bit lengthy. For medical cadets, it consists of

    For Medical Cadet 17 – 21 Years as of 1 November (relaxable for 3 months both in upper and lower age limit).

    Details About Test Types:

    Initial Intelligence Test

    It will consist of verbal statement tests and Non-verbal tests. Both verbal and non-verbal tests are taken separately. First, you have to pass a verbal test then you will undergo a Non-verbal test.

    Academic test

    This is the most important test and consists of Biology chemistry physics and English from the FSc syllabus.

    Physical Test

    • Running 1.6km in 8½ minutes
    • Push-ups. 15 repetitions in 2 mins
    • Sit-ups. 15 repetitions in 2 mins
    • Chin-ups. 3 repetitions in 2 mins
    • Ditch crossing 7′.4″×7’4″ with a depth of 4′

    Medical test

    It will be done by Army doctors at ASRC centers. It includes eyesight vision standards, weight, height Etc.

    Personality test

    after passing all the above tests, they will be provided by a performa, which will be set to GHQ Rawalpindi, The qualified candidates will be called by GHQ for 2 days personality test in September or October.

    Day 1. On the first day, the candidate undergoes intelligence tests (written) and other personality tests.

    Days 2. On this day the candidate undergoes a brief interview for Final selection.

     

    AMC Medical Cadet Seat Distribution

    Only males can apply for the medical cadet category. Age limit is 17-21 Years freshers can apply on the basis of a hope certificate (make from your recent educational institute/College). If you have done FSC then 70% marks in FSC can apply.

    Note: If it’s your first time applying for the Army Medical College, then it’s advised to wait a few days. The reason is that when you apply first, your test dates will also be first. So wait a bit and understand how they take tests by examining other candidates.

    2. CMH Lahore (30 MBBS)
    3. CMH Multan (5 MBBS)

    All seats are only open merit. No Quota Based Seats are offered in Medical Cadets.

    Important Points

    1. Candidates who apply for admission as Medical Cadet (for Army only) in AM College Rawalpindi, CMH Lahore Medical College, Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, CMH Multan Medical College, Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences Must have registered/appeared themselves in any fresh provincial entry test as eligible (UHS, ETA, MCAT, NUMS, AJ&K State exam, etc).
    2. The candidate must mention the name of the College for which applying (Army Medical College Rawalpindi or CMH Lahore Medical College) at the top of the application form (page 1). Candidates can also opt for Colleges priority-wise.
    3. During the registration on the internet, the candidate must specify his choice of College carefully.
    4. A candidate selected at merit for one institution shall not be changed.
    5. The candidate selected for MBBS in any of said medical colleges if not appeared/registered in their respective regional exams shall stand ineligible.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Qualification: 4th or Final Year Student of MBBS of any Medical College recognized by PM&DC
    • Age: 20 to 26 years
    • Gender: Male
    • Marital Status: Unmarried
    • Nationality: Citizen of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/ Gilgit-Baltistan. Upon final selection, candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.
    • Minimum Height: 5’-4″ or (162.5 cm)
    • Weight: As per Body Mass Index (BMX)

    Ineligibility Conditions

    • Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board.
    • Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested).
    • Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board
    • Withdrawn from any Academy / Training Institution of the Armed Forces on any ground.
    • Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
    • Dismissed/removed/ debarred from Govt Services including Armed Forces.
    • Convicted in a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
    • Twice Screened Out by ISSB.
    • Twice rejected for ‘M’ Cadets by GHQ / AHQ / NHQ Selection Boards.
    • The candidature of a candidate who will temper his academic certificates, conceal or give wrong info to gain an undue advantage will be canceled and declared permanently ineligible for all types of commission in the Armed Forces.

    How to Apply for Army Medical College?

    The AMC application form can be accessed online through the NUMS website. The form must be completed and submitted along with all required documents before the deadline.


    In order to apply, students should visit the numspak.edu.pk website and select an application link to apply for the MBBS/BDS seat at the medical college of their choice.

    Start by clicking the link to the NUMS website will allow you to download the admission form.

    In order to register with CNIC/NICOP/Passport, students must have an e-mail address as well as a set password.

    Please fill in the undertaking of your form after completing this form. It can be downloaded from the website.

    This will lead you to the page as shown below;

    Applicants must take a printout of their application form after submitting it online.

    Furthermore, to fill out this form physically, download and print it. This form should be filled out completely and should also have your thumb impression on it.

    Note: Here are a few things to keep in mind:

    1. The CNICs must be identical to those used by students in NUMS Entry Tests held on the date mentioned.
    2. All your documents should be sent to NUMS.
    3. All admission applications must be submitted online. Candidates are advised to choose MBBS or BDS carefully. Under the NUMS and College Policy, MBBS and BDS admissions will be granted based on merit.
    4. Students cannot change their program after it has been saved online.

    Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

    Candidates can either register through the internet on the website: www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk or by visiting the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs).

    Registration at AS&RCs

    The candidates may report at the following Army Selection and Recruitment Centres for registration/allotment of roll no along with necessary documents mentioned in para 4 for completion of registration formalities. The candidates will bring these documents on the date of the test as well:

    Registration through Online Internet (WEBSITE)

    A candidate can also register on www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. The date and time of the test shall be available on the internet, for which the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on the exact date and time given for the preliminary test on a computerized roll no slip.

    The date once given will not be changed. Candidates will bring along documents mentioned in para 4. Candidates must attain a working knowledge of computers as registration and test will be conducted on computers.

    Schedule of Registration Army Medical College / Preliminary Tests

    Registration and Preliminary Test will be held as per the following schedule:

    • Registration: 8 June 2023 to 15 July 2023
    • Preliminary Tests: 19 July 2023 to 27 July 2023

    Physical Test For Army Medical College

    • 1.6 Km run- 8 ½ minutes

    Important Points For Medical Cadets

    An ‘M’ Cadet, after his enrollment under this Scheme, shall continue to study in the Medical College in which he is on roll until the completion of his Medical graduation and during that period he shall be subject to the Pakistan Army Act, 1952 and rules, regulations and orders made thereunder.

    After that, on the successful completion of his Medical education and due satisfaction of other requirements of the Scheme, Medical Cadet will be commissioned in the AMC And Armed forces hospitals.

    Documents Required

    • 2 x attested photocopies of educational certificates.
    • 2 x attested photocopies of Computerized National Identity Card or Form ‘B’ issued by NADRA.
    • 4 x attested passport size photographs.
    • Candidates will deposit a pay order of Rs 500/- clearly indicating ‘Payable at any Branch in Pakistan’ in favor of Surgeon General/ DGMS (IS), Medical Directorate / DMS-1, GHQ Rawalpindi.

    Further Selection

    Shortlisted candidates will receive notice for intelligence/ personality tests and interviews by the GHQ Selection Board at their nearest stations through the website as well as call-up letters.

    Furthermore, the Medical fitness of candidates who are selected in the final interview shall be carried out at the nearest CMH. The final selection will be made at GHQ on the basis of the candidate’s overall performance.

    Military Training

    22 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at Army Medical Corps School & Centre Abbottabad within one month after MBBS and induction as Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC) officer by GHQ PA Directorate.

    Bond

    Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army Medical Corps for a minimum of six years, after passing the MBBS.
